Working Principle of a Tire Shredder
The tire shredding process typically follows these operational stages:
1. Feeding
Whole tires are placed onto the conveyor or directly into the hopper. The machine can handle passenger tires, truck tires, and heavy OTR tires depending on model specifications.
2. Primary Cutting
The rotating shafts or rotor elements grip and tear the tire rubber. High torque at low speed ensures continuous cutting even on thick, steel-reinforced tires.
3. Size Reduction
As the tire pieces reduce in size, they pass into the cutting zone repeatedly until they reach the required dimensions.
4. Discharge
Finished rubber chips typically range from 50 to 300 millimeters depending on the screen configuration and shredder class.
